Raw Food Diet

The concept of the raw food diet comes from the idea that food is most nutritious for us in its natural, uncooked form. The belief is that when food is cooked at a temperature higher than 118 degrees the food’s natural enzymes are broken down to the point that they are no longer helpful to our bodies. In addition the food becomes harder to break down once it’s consumed so our bodies have to work harder to digest.   Starting the raw food diet is an adjustment, just like any other diet.
